NAMI Basics is a program for parents and other caregivers of children and adolescents living with mental illnesses. 

You can attend the classes for:

6 weeks for 1 class per week
3 weeks for 2 classes per week

Voices4Hope would like to give a shout out to the members of MY LIFE who are spreading the word of recovery and acceptance, and transforming lives!

MY LIFE is made up of youth between the ages of 13 and 23 who have experience with mental health, substance abuse and/or foster care-related issues. Through regular meetings and local and national workshops, presentations and performances, the group focuses on important issues affecting youth.

VOICES 4 CHANGE


Voices 4 Change is a group run by people with mental health conditions focused on representing diversity and strength in the Recovery Movement in Massachusetts. Their newsletter includes new views/nets, personal recovery stories, poetry, and photographs, all related to mental illness.

Youth M.O.V.E National is a youth led national organization devoted to improving services and systems that support positive growth and development by uniting the voices of individuals who have lived experience in various systems including mental health, juvenile justice, education, and child welfare.

THE S.T.E.P.S. PROGRAM

S.T.E.P.S. (Successfully, Together, Everyone Peacefully Strives) is a resource center in Arlington, MA on 12 Prescott Street for young adults’ ages 18 to 25 of all backgrounds, needs, and dreams.They are open for many different weekly and one time workshops. No referral is needed, just walk in the door and get help with anything from class work to housing!

"Creating an environment that is peer supported will allow young adults to know they are not alone because we can relate.
Our experiences can show that recovery and change is possible."
