HOT OFF THE PRESS!
A former Concord-Carlisle High School student who says she was mercilessly bullied for two years while administrators ignored her pleas for help filed a $2 million federal civil rights lawsuit Monday against the towns of Concord and Carlisle, the Concord-Carlisle school district, the superintendent, and the high school principal and former vice principal.

TEN TIPS TO STOP OR PREVENT BULLYING!

1. Speak Up! - Tell someone you can trust (an authority figure/adult) if you see or are a victim of bullying.
2. Don't Fight violence with violence- It can put many people, including yourself, in danger. 3. Get familiar with what bullying is and what it is not - that way you can get help quickly when you see it's happening to you or someone around you. 4. Work with your school system to make sure there are rules and policies in place for bullying. 5. Be a role model - join anti-bullying activities and groups - show what it looks like to be a good friend. |
6. Don't give bullying an audience - don't laugh or engage in bullying activity - instead be more than a bystander and get help.
7. Be Friendly - be kind to those who have been victims of bullying- a friendship can go a long way! 8. Don't Blame yourself! Remember that this isn't about you. Don't let the bully take your confidence, or convince you that you're anything less than amazing! 9. Cyber Bullying exists!
